Handling the Power Supply

The Power Supply Unit (PSU) is the heart of your printer. Handling it correctly ensures your safety and the longevity of the equipment.

CRITICAL: Check the Power Supply Voltage Switch!

Before plugging in the printer for the first time, check if its power supply has a manual voltage selection switch (usually for 110V or 230V). Ensure this switch is set to the correct voltage for your region. Plugging a PSU set to 110V into a 230V outlet will instantly destroy it and may damage other components.

Use the Correct Power Connection

  • Only connect the printer to a standard household power outlet compatible with its specifications (e.g., 110 VAC / 60 Hz or 230 VAC / 50 Hz).
  • Never connect the printer to a different power source than specified.

Handle the Power Cord with Care

  • Position the power cord so that it is not a tripping hazard.
  • Regularly check the cord for cuts or other damage. If it is damaged, replace it immediately.
  • When unplugging from the outlet, always pull the plug itself, never the cord.

Never Disassemble the Power Supply

The PSU contains no user-serviceable parts. Its internal components can retain a dangerous electrical charge even after being unplugged. Any repairs must be performed by a qualified technician.
