Assembly Guide

This guide will help you assemble your MY-Mini-3D-Printer step by step, with practical tips and inspiration from the Prusa Mini.

1. Frame and Preparation

  • Assemble the aluminum frame, ensuring all profiles are well aligned and tightened.
  • Use a square to ensure accuracy.
  • Install brackets and corner pieces as shown in the drawings.

2. Installing Motors and Motion System

  • Attach the Nema 17 motors to their mounts.
  • Install the GT2 pulleys and belts, adjusting the tension to avoid slack.
  • Mount the linear bearings (LM8UU and LM10LUU) and check for smooth axis movement.
  • Install the lead screw and couple it to the Z motor.

3. Heated Bed and Bed Assembly

  • Attach the heated bed base to the frame.
  • Install the steel sheet with PEI for easy part removal.
  • Connect the thermistor and bed power cables.

4. Electronics Installation

  • Mount the MKS SGEN_L V2.0 board and organize cables with zip ties.
  • Install the TMC2209 drivers and configure for silent mode (UART).
  • Connect motors, endstops, fans, and sensors according to the wiring diagram.
  • Install the MKS H43 touch display and connect it to the mainboard.

5. Wiring and Organization

  • Use cable chains or spirals to organize cables.
  • Ensure there are no loose cables or cables in contact with moving parts.

6. Initial Tests

  • Power on the printer and check if all components are recognized.
  • Test axis movement, sensors, and heating.
  • Perform bed leveling (mesh bed leveling).
