Customize LightBurn for Your Workflow¶
The default workspace layout in LightBurn is designed for accessibility, but it is fully customizable to suit your screen resolution and personal preferences.
Managing Windows¶
- Undocking Windows: Click and drag the header of any window to undock it and let it float freely.
- Docking Windows: Drag an undocked window on top of an existing window to group them, or drag it to the left/right edges of the workspace until the background changes color to dock it there.
- Resizing: Adjust the size of any docked window by clicking and dragging its edges.
- Tabbed Headers: When windows are stacked, tabbed headers are created. You can click and drag these tabs to rearrange their order.
Visibility and Menus¶
- Window Visibility: Not all windows are visible by default. Go to the Window menu to toggle specific windows on or off.
- Toolbar Customization: Toolbars are divided into sections (marked by dots). You can drag these sections to rearrange them or move them to different locations to create a new toolbar layout.
- Sub-menus: Sliding elements within a toolbar can stack buttons into a sub-menu to save space.
Resetting the Layout¶
- Reset to Defaults: If you are unhappy with your changes or if a window disappears (common in multi-monitor setups), go to the Window menu and select Reset to Default Layout to restore the original interface.
